HALODEC .....
... Is a masonry stabiliser which in one operation acts as a combined sealer/binder. It can be used on most masonry surfaces prior to the application of BIOCHECK S.P. coatings.

HALODEC is a ready to use liquid, based on solvent dispersed organic resins. |
| Appearance: |
Opaque, resinous solution. |
| Performance: |
HALODEC is used to stabilise exterior masonry surfaces which are chalky, friable and generally unsound. HALODEC has a high degree of penetration, water repellency and controls the suction of porous surfaces, thus saving on the cost of more expensive and labour intensive preparatory work. On highly absorbent surfaces the use of HALODEC is a vital aid to flow and 'wet edge' requirements. |
| Areas of use: |
HALODEC is used as the preparatory treatment prior to the application of BIOCHECK S.P. - BIOCHECK 2507 and BIOSHIELD.
HALODEC can be applied to the following surfaces:-
Sand Cement (lime) renderings, Bricks (not Common Flettons), Concrete, Concrete bricks and blocks, Pebbledash, Roughcase, Tyrolean, Exterior quality composition and cement boards, Paint (emulsion and cement).
HALODEC should NOT be applied over Bituminous coatings. |
| Coverage: |
3-5 square metres per litre per coat depending on texture and absorbency of substrate. Refer to survey report for covering capacity guidance. |
| Application: |
Normally one coat will be sufficient to bind and sterilise surfaces prior to decoration. Apply liberally, by brush, to suitably dry surfaces until suction is satisfied. A second coat may be required on exceptionally porous or chalky surfaces. Allow a minimum of 24 hours between coats. DO NOT apply in wet or frosty conditions, or when there is risk of same during drying time. |

Supplied in 5 litre tins. |
| Storage: |
Protect from frost. Store in a dry location out of direct sunlight. HALODEC is classified as a flammable material, flash point of 32 Degrees Centigrade, keep away from naked flames. |
| Working Practice: |
Clean brushes etc., in white spirit. Growing plants and areas not requiring treatment must be protected during application. Remove splashes with white spirit. |
