MGC MOULD RESISTANT SEALANT .....

Is a one part, acetoxy silicone rubber sealant. It has been specifically designed for use in areas where food contact is likely and meets the U.S. Food and Drugs Administration Regulation No. 21CFR177.2600. MGC MOULD RESISTANT SEALANT conforms to BS5889 Type B., is fast curing and extremely flexible.

DESCRIPTION

Composition: MGC MOULD RESISTANT SEALANT is a one part acetoxy silicone sealant incorporating a fungicide to prevent mould growth.
Appearance: White silicone rubber sealant.
Performance: On exposure to the air MGC MOULD RESISTANT SEALANT will cure to form a highly durable rubber seal which will not shrink, crack or crumble. It has excellent adhesion to most non-porous surfaces and joint movement capability of +/- 25%.
Areas of use: MGC MOULD RESISTANT SEALANT will adhere to Glazed ceramic tiles, Porcelain, Vitreous enamel, Glass, Stainless steel, Polyester coating, PVC coated steel, Wood and many other substrates. It can be used in food preparation areas for sealing worktops, around basins and sinks and to seal expansion and corner joints on wall cladding systems. The sealant can also be used in refrigeration units, laboratory fittings and worktops, baths and shower areas.
Coverage: 5-8 metres per 310ml cartridge depending on applied thickness.
Availability: Supplied in 310ml. cartridge.
Colour: White only.
Application & Storage: It is recommended that MGC MOULD RESISTANT SEALANT is not applied to surfaces that are below 5 degrees Centigrade. Shelf life is one year when stored in cool dry conditions below 23 degrees Centigrade.

Tack Free Time: 1 hour
Cure Time (2-3mm): 24 hours

Service Temp. Range: -50 to +150 degrees Centigrade
Application Temp. Range: 5 to 40 degrees Centigrade
